MARKETING DIRECTOR

We are looking for a Marketing Director to join our team. The Marketing Director will be an ambassador for Charlotte Olympia and will be responsible for marketing and ensuring that all marketing is of the highest standards. The Marketing Director will report directly to the Creative Director and President.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement global strategy around marketing management to ensure marketing product lifecycle calendar are followed and executed, with regular review and assessment of all marketing approaches.
  • Drive the development and solidify the key global messages including product alignment, messaging strategy, and coordination of marketing campaigns to support such messages.
  • Control all marketing (including across events, digital, visual, PR and creative) as well as leading on cross-team involvement (merchandising, retail, wholesale, licensing, international) to align and produce a global message and an aligned campaign.
  • Work strategically to generate key global messages for the brand which resonate emotionally and rationally with the brand’s audiences to increase engagement.
  • Define and present critical paths allowing teams to accurately and strategically plan.
  • Work closely with visual merchandising to develop the visual campaign of the brand.
  • Liaise with press department and PR agency(ies) to develop initiatives and partnerships to increase our brand awareness, ensure an elevated and appropriate brand positioning, drive traffic and sales, and understand/communicate the profile and preferences of the Charlotte Olympia.
  • In conjunction with the Ecommerce team, support Ecommerce marketing initiatives and communications and translate the brand’s “voice” into online marketing initiatives and social closely monitor our key competitors.
  • Understanding KPIs and analytical information to deliver success within marketing and adapt marketing approaches to achieve these by understanding of both the “art” and the “science” of brand building.
  • Plan, forecast and be accountable for the marketing budget.
  • Provide formal weekly reports to the board and take direction and instruction from the Creative Director and President and franchise partners to deliver balanced and commercial marketing achieve KPIs including sales, productivity and profit.
  • Ensure that the Charlotte Olympia brand and image is never compromised.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong strategic thinking and visual presentation skills are critical.
  • Excellent visual communication/creative presentation skills including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator being essential.
  • Substantial and proven visual merchandising experience within luxury marketing, ideally within the footwear and accessory environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of luxury brands, seasonal trend awareness and resources and their relevance to Charlotte Olympia’s approach and impact on marketing.
  • Highly organised, efficient and hands-on and likes to work in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
  • Strong team player who coaches and supports team members on executing marketing techniques.
  • Graphic design, fashion or art degrees is desirable.
  • Experience in digital branding is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Commercial awareness & influencing skills to develop visual merchandising standards across stores.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a constantly evolving work environment and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay calm under pressure of rush projects and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse and recommend based on strategy and grasp the detail, but remain strategic.

GRAPHICS MANAGER

We are looking for a hard-working, creative and passionate Graphics Manager to join our marketing team. This is a diverse role which suits a well-rounded designer who enjoys working across both digital and print. Working closely with the marketing, visual merchandising and PR teams, the Graphics will help support and maintain brand consistency as Charlotte Olympia continues to grow globally. The position will report directly into the Marketing Director and work closely with the Creative Director and President.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Marketing Director and working closely with the Creative Director, Charlotte Olympia Dellal, your role will involve creating and maintaining the visual identity of the brand, working on a wide variety of design tasks that include:

  • Creative marketing - working across a range of disciplines to create concepts, design solutions and layouts for both digital and printed promotional material including lookbooks, press releases, marketing collateral for shows and events, launch concepts, point of sale, digital presentations, slideshows and social media posts. A good knowledge of print is highly advantageous.
  • Art-working – creating and art-working files for various print & digital projects, including typesetting information tables, producing artwork for visual merchandising instore displays or windows, packaging, stationery, pricelists, catalogues and providing print-ready files. Executing rigorous quality checks including spell checking & proofreading, requiring a keen and methodical eye for detail.
  • Be the brand guardian by ensuring all designs follow the brand standards and are consistent with the brand strategy.
  • Work with photographers, stylists, illustrators, designers, web developers and marketing specialists.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Experienced manager within either an agency or in-house with experience in all areas of graphic design and art-working.
  • Highly organised, efficient and hands-on, including organisational and emotional skills to handle this level of productivity.
  • Conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion.
  • Experience working or liaising with a larger organisation with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven and able to multi-task, with time management skills.
  • Strong eye for typography and layout.
  • Proven experience in fast turnarounds and ideas creation and delivery is also key ability to take briefs from concept through to print-ready artwork.
  • Strong knowledge in graphic materials and interest in the latest in-print and packaging techniques.
  • InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills essential.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills - ability to communicate creative ideas effectively and liaise directly with printers and external suppliers.

HANDBAG DESIGN ASSISTANT/ PAID INTERNSHIP

We are looking for a hard-working, creative and passionate Accessories Designer to join our Design team. This is a full, all-encompassing role which will involve assisting in all facets of our creative business. You will be assisting and reporting to the Handbag Designer and shall work close with the Creative Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Handbag Designer your role will involve creating designs for the main collection, as well as working on a wide variety of design tasks that include:

  • Creation of specification sheets
  • Illustrator drawings
  • Colour ups
  • Contribute to creative process
  • Mock ups
